What's in an apple?
Apples include polyphenols and antioxidants that can boost blood flow to the genitalia and aid in arousal just like aphrodisiacs like wine and chocolate.
Scientists say that phloridzin and the sex hormone estradiol, a substance present in apples and related to the female cause this increase in libido and sexual fulfillment.

According to research published in the Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Italy's Santa Chiara Regional Hospital, 731 Italian women between the age of 18 and 43 years were examined for the study.
The group was then divided into two sections, with one being instructed to consume one or more apples daily and the other to consume less than one. A report on daily apple consumption was requested from each participant.
Eating an apple a day was discovered to be associated with higher FSFI scores (Female Sexual Function Index which consists of 19 items about sexual activity frequency and overall satisfaction). This is because apples increase lubrication and increase the enjoyment of sex.
