Seyi Law had publicly supported Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was elected President of Nigeria in the 2023 elections. This drew criticism from many people on social media.

However, Seyi Law did not let the negative comments affect him, and he recently shared a video of his successful gig on Twitter, taking a swipe at those who thought he wouldn't get work because of his political stance.

He wrote, "Good mrng to the amazing people who don’t see political differences as a reason to wish evil on anyone. In the minds of some people, God will not allow SEYILAW to have events so that we can say we told him. God is not for you alone. Olori ibu, a ba tanije. This ilaje song is 4 you."

The post generated a discussion on Twitter about the insults and attacks Tinubu supporters faced during the election. Seyi Law joined in the conversation by sharing a screenshot of a malicious message his wife received from a troll who wished their daughter dead.

"See what one of them sent to my wife. Even more in my dm for not supporting their candidate," he tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the threat.

During the 2023 presidential election, which divided everyone—elites, celebrities, and the masses alike—the supporters of one of the major frontline candidates, Peter Obi, were branded the Obidents and were tagged by many people as cyber bullies who cancelled anyone against their candidate.
